This is all that you need to know about Samson's Wig

Our band consists of three crazy guys: Cayton McDonald-lead guitarist/lead vocalist, Michael Sanders-drummer, and last but not least Tyler Moore-Bassist/backup vocalist. All three of us have played in a youth band together for about a year at our church. We play a variety of praise and worship songs and have gained experience in playing in front of large crowds there.

Cayton McDonald has been playing the guitar for about a little over a year. God has blessed him in the past year with a rapid progression in his guitar skills. Not only has he basically taught himself the guitar, but he also took voice lessons for a year. This allows him to have a strong and articulate range of vocals. Cayton plays on a metallic black Washburn 24-fret electric guitar. A Zoom505II effects pedal accompanies his quality-sounding guitar.

Michael Sanders, though no longer taking drum lessons, started his first lessons at the age of ten. He is in the drum-line at Crowley High School, and has been involved in the percussion section since seventh grade. Michael plays on a black Yamaha DP series drum set. His cymbals of choice are Zildjian ZBT, which have given him an all-around good tone. Holding Michaels cymbals is a Gibraltar curved rack. Along with his drum set he has a Pearl PW100 double bass pedal.
Tyler Moore has been playing bass for a year. He taught himself with the help of his fellow musicians. This year he joined the Crowley Middle School band playing the bass. Tyler plays on a dark blue Fender Jazz Bass, with low noise Fender Bass pick-ups. Accompanying Tylers bass are a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings. This gives him a clear and defined tone. He also has another bass on the way. It is a Midnight Wine Fender Precision bass.

Although Samsons Wig has only been together for two-and-a-half months, we feel that we work very well together. We have grown closer as friends and have developed a stronger relationship with our Heavenly Father, through the duration of our band. We felt God tugging on our hearts and after praying for many days we surrendered to the music ministry, on March 4, 2001. Since that time God has written fourteen diverse songs, a third of which are worship songs, through us.
